SOMETHING – 2
They pinch hit with a left-handed contact hitter.
He pushed a “Ground Ball with Eyes” into the hole my shortstop created as he ran over to cover second base on the latter portion of a ‘hit & run’.

I had pitched great against their lead-off man all night. He struck out in the first. He was late on a change in the fourth and fouled out to third.
Now would be no different, but instead of the strikeout I wanted, the ump called the 1-2 curve low.

So when I came back with the cut fastball, he was early and skyed one to right field.
The runners tagged and with two in scoring position and two outs, they had something going.
I looked to the dugout, then to the bullpen.
It may have looked like a cry for help, but I’m just not sure how they’re going to let me develop.
I can only assume it’s trial by fire because there was no movement anywhere.
