There is a large contingent of any fan base that seems to jeer and detest demonstrative actions on the field. They find it demeaning and belittling to the game.

In other words, they don’t like anybody showing out.

And this has always confused me because at the end of the day, we’re talking about a game. A game we all grew up playing as kids. A kid’s game.

And now we’re getting paid millions. So much so that a wise one can make this money into generational wealth that strengthens and assists offspring long afterwards.

Not to mention the many who also make their profession thanks to this kid’s game. From the reporters and cameramen to the souvenir salesman and ticket scalper; all are able to profit from a kid’s game.

It’s not like 700 years ago when the main occupations for growing boys were farmer or warrior. And while both are good channels to release the untamed and insane energy that resides within a young boy while also forcing him to focus…while they might have played games, few could make a living from it.

And even fewer were able to prosper in employment on the fringes. Pickpockets maybe.

But pickpockets thrive today because a kid’s game routinely draws numbers. So why do we complain when those playing the game act like kids?
