Vicky White and Casey White, no relation.

The national manhunt is over. Former Alabama corrections officer Vicky White has died from injuries after she and escaped inmate Casey White were arrested in Indiana earlier Monday, Sheriff Dave Wedding of Vanderburgh County told CNN.

Now this looks perfect for an Saturday Night Live skit with Aidy Bryant as the senior CO who sold her home under market value and filed retirement papers before ‘taking’ Casey White from the Lauderdale County jail to a mental health evaluation that was never scheduled.

An 11-day manhunt ended over 250 miles from its start point, three states to the north near Evansville, Indiana, not far from Route 64 with Louisville to the east and St. Louis to the west. Officers conducting surveillance spotted Vicky White exiting a hotel Monday with a wig on, according to US Marshal Marty Keely.

The duo drove away and a pursuit ensued. Marshals rammed the Cadillac they were driving; it wrecked and officers were able to remove Casey from the car. Unfortunately Vicky “was pinned inside with a gunshot wound to her head,” said Keely.

Casey White reportedly told authorities to help “his wife” who had shot herself in the head and told them he didn’t do it, according to Keely. Casey White and Vicky White were not marriedΒ to investigators’ knowledge, Keely said.

But a lot can happen in 11 days…

How long before the first retelling of this love-story gone wrong? What’s the first streaming service to take a crack at this story; but the slightly more interesting question is what genre is this told in?

Bryant has the look of Vicky White, but also the acting ability to swap between serious and silly. There are other actresses who could play the part and Casey White, no offense, could be just about any white male with a beard…although I can see Jon Hamm playing the tag-along heel in a dark comedy version that has Bryant seduce the inmate and force the escape…

So how long and who’s better to play the parts?
