It’s an inevitable outcome but one that still comes as a surprise. However, the surprise was ruined months ago when a 12-game losing streak stunted the Mets season before it could begin.
As I look back only a few moments after there was a reason to watch, I lament about the little I can before I return to waiting for another baseball season. Maybe this time I’ll get more than just a Benge in the box.
